TEST CA

Professional test to measure calcium in marine water.

Professional tests for the marine water analysis, completely made in Italy as all Xaqua products. These products generally are very sensitive to air and light, and the contact with them can damage the test and give wrong results. For this reason Xaqua tests are packaged in controlled atmosphere in alluminium envelopes with three layers, which ensure their integrity until the opening. The bottles are equipped with high precision calibrated dropper: each drop corresponds exactly to 0.05 ml.

HOW TO USE THE XAQUA CALCIUM TEST:
1. Rinse the test tube and the syringe with the water to be analyzed.
2. Pour 5 ml of water to be analyzed into the test tube.
3. Add 6 drops of the CA1 indicator and shake the test tube. The water will be turbid.
4. Add 1 measure (small size) of CA2 powder and shake the test tube. The water will become fucsia.
5. Add the CA3 liquid one drop at a time, shaking the test tube after each addition. Stop when you see a little change of the water color from fucsia to blue. It’s important to remember the number of drops added.
6. Add the CA4 liquid one drop at a time, shaking the test tube after each addition. Stop when the color of the water changes to blue. It’s important to remember the number of drops added.
7. Calculate the calcium value, knowing that each drop of CA3 liquid is equivalent to 50 ppm and each drop of CA4 liquid is equivalent to 10 ppm. For example, if you have added 8 drops of CA3 liquid and 3 drops of CA4 liquid, the value will be: (8 drops x 50 ppm) + (3 drops x 10 ppm) = 400 ppm + 30 ppm = 430 ppm (the optimal value of calcium in aquarium is 420-450 mg/L)

The kit contains:
- One test tube of 20 ml.
- One syringe.
- One measure.
- One bottle of CA1 indicator (15 ml).
- One bottle of CA2 powder (2 gr).
- One bottle of CA3 liquid (20 ml).
- One bottle of CA4 liquid (10 ml).

Warnings: This test is specific for the analysis of calcium in marine water with density of 35°/°°. Store at a temperature between 10 and 30 °C. Protect from humidity, close the packaging after use. Do not swallow, product not intended for human nutrition.
Substance classified as dangerous under CE Regulation 1272/2008 CLP.
